ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Regular attendance at rehearsals by singing members is vital to the Chorale’s musical balance and quality. It is your responsibility to notify one of your section leaders when you must miss a rehearsal. Contact information for section leaders is provided below. If you miss more than three rehearsals during a single concert season (Fall 2021 or Spring 2022), it is your responsibility to either:
1. Approach the director to demonstrate command of the music
2. Excuse himself or herself from performing in that concert
The director MUST allow the singer to show command of the music and must evaluate the singer’s proficiency prior to the dress rehearsal of that particular concert to be permitted to participate in the concert.
*If either of the above options is not selected by the member, the member will respect the director’s decision. It is the responsibility of the singers to inform the Chorale when they need to miss a rehearsal. Singers must contact one of their designated section leaders as soon as they know that a rehearsal will be missed.

*SVC By-laws Article 8.1 The Board of Directors shall retain a Music Director/Conductor who will conduct the performing ensemble committee of the Corporation within the policies and general directives of the Board. The Music Director/Conductor shall assess the viability of a singer/performer being admitted as a member of the performing ensemble and his/her continued participation in it.
ATTIRE/CONCERT DRESS:
WOMEN: Black Concert Dress selected by the Board, and minimal jewelry. NO necklaces or bracelets. Small earrings (no dangling earrings) that do not reflect light are permitted. (e.g. pearl earrings)
MEN: Black Tuxedo of your choice with red bow tie for Holiday (December) concert season and black bow tie for other seasons (MESSIAH, and Spring).
ALL: Please do not use perfume, cologne, aftershave, etc. Please DO use deodorant. ☺
